Two men have today been sentenced to a total of 15 months imprisonment for offences relating to hacking, under the Copyright and Designs Act.

Sky's chief operating officer Mike Darcey has criticised ITV for making its high definition channel available exclusively on Freesat.
"ITV want to have their cake and eat it," Darcey said after Freesat's launch yesterday.
"On the one hand, they are claiming to champion HD for all, while on the other, they are deliberately withholding free-to-air content from almost half a million Sky HD homes."

ITV was today fined £5.68m for a string of scandals involving the use of premium rate phone and text services in its programmes.
The largest fine of £3m was for various offences on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway including picking competition winners based on where they lived and their "suitability to be on television".

Almost 500,000 people have been caught out by a booby-trapped media file, says security firm McAfee.
The fake file poses as a music track, short video or movie and has been widely seeded on file-sharing networks to snare victims.
McAfee said the fake media file outbreak was the largest it had seen for about three years.
Those running the fake file get bombarded with pop-up ads and risk compromising the safety of their PC.
