This member is the original thread starter. Talking Saturn The Beutiful Planet

Saturn is the second largest planet in the solar system and untill 1771 ,when Uranus was discovered , it was also the outermost known planet.
Saturn is the furthest planet visible with the naked eye.
When is is isolated from areas packed with stars, saturn shines strikingly and is arguably the most impressive sight to be viewed through an amature telescope, especially if its rings are presented towards the earth.
The planet itself is seen as a yellowish disc with bands and zones of clouds, albeit more subtle than those on neighbouring jupiter .
The planet was named Kronos by the ancient greeks, and this was changed to saturn by the romans in line with their own name for the same god.
In greek mythology,Kronos was the father of Zeus, who was known as jupiter to the romans.
