This member is the original thread starter. Different sorts of Verbatim dual layer DVD+R

There are separate forums for Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, but I can't seem to find a forum for ordinary DVD+R questions. If I've overlooked the proper forum, I'm sure one of the mods will correct me.

There are at least two different sorts of Verbatim dual layer DVD+R on the market at the moment:

One with a blue jewel case insert, a purple recording layer, and listed Advanced Azo, (c) 2005.

Another with a blue and pink jewel case insert, a pink recording layer, and listed Azo, (c) 2007.

I've just bought a box of these over the internet. I was expecting one type, and received the other. I'm not sure whether to send them back.

I know that Verbatim is one of the very few brands of DVD+R DL that aren't utter rubbish and best used for clay pigeon shooting. Does anyone know if either vintage of Verbatim DVD+R DL is known to produce fewer coasters than the other one?

I couldn't find any relevant information in a brief search through CDFreaks.com. If anyone knows any better, I'd be grateful for the details.
