Part P and Certifying Hi
A friend of mine wants to know that if you are Part P qualified do they need to be with governing body before they can start certifying or can he certify without joining a governing body.
He is newly qualified Part P but he says it costs a lot to join about £700 plus 2 million quid cover of insurance so he`s got to earn before he can do all this. If he has qualified then why do they need to come and assess him and charge hundreds, plus the governing bodies state that he must have copies of previous certificates he`s issued but how can he if he`s newly qualified or does it mean he can certify without joining any governing body as long as he`s got public insurance in place..
Its already cost him nearly a grand to get the meters he needs to test the installations.
