hi there folks,

here is a real dumb question, thank God I am incognito!!!
My son has a laptop. He does not have a PC. He has a broadband connection via tiscali. He always uses his laptop plugged in and never via battery.
I have a pc. I do not have a laptop.
My husband, son and I are going to my brother's farmhouse, on the mainland, for Christmas. My brother has a pc, but no internet connection.
Is there any way that my son's laptop could connect to the net at my brother's house?
I understand nothing about wifi at all. Can one simply buy a card, if so which card? And, with that card, would I/he be able to connect to the net from anywhere at any time??
I think this is enough for the moment......sorry to be so very basic, but I suppose everyone is initially!
