This member is the original thread starter. Is it possible to turn off the shoutbox?
I only have a slow computer, and am sharing this broadband connection with people who are forever hogging bandwidth on YouTube. It takes several seconds to update each page on this site, which is beginning to be frustrating.

I should be able to configure my browser to block images, which will speed things up a bit. Can I also change my personal settings on this forum, so for example, I don't need to download the shoutbox with every page?
