Qualified Mechanic HELP MEEEEE

Pc's c/m's plugs, can fix but when it comes to cars... nuh uh so ma M8 sez to me here john have a nice big fast family size car, tells me engine size an am hooked (never thought bout insurance) £250 for a motor thats worth a fair bit more than that, i thought he was a m8 turns out the fekkin cylinder head gasket is well fekked the car itself is immaculate inside and out, an its HUGE will be fun parking it up in town had a few quotes so far... rover garage £1350, local cowboys £250(without doing cam belts), not a total cheapskate however not minted either... anyone fancy taking on this "fun" job for a considerable amoun t less and allot more beer? (west lothian location)
Make : Rover 825
Engine : 2.5L V6 Quadcam 24v (KV6)
Year :1999
Parts: gasket kit (£60 grr), no tools not got a clue
Cylinder Head Gasket is fekked and it smokes like its a one car climate disaster!
