Hi, was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or remedies to the problem my brother is facing on his golf. it is a 5dr 1.6 1998. Once you start driving the car, randomly (but more so in 1st & 2nd gear) the locks seem to lock or unlock and then unlock (the central locking) as if they are being locked or unlocked using the fob/unlock button on the drivers side.

it seems really odd and the noise is driving him insane, as well as the prospects that the door motors may eventually burn out, meaning having to replace 4 door motors along with the boot motor too, which has both me thinking about the expense and him loathing at that prospect.

any suggestions?
