HDD video cam help

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but figure this would probably be the best place.
Just want to know if anyone can recommend a good HDD video camera. Ive been looking at a few and some friends of mine have Sony ones that seem to be good for what I want mine for but I'm not sure.
Basically I want to use it to record local bands so I'm looking for something that has a good image stabiliser, good sound quality in loud areas as well as a night vision mode and possibly a build in light for when I don't want to use night vision. Not too pushed if it doesnt have all these but just to give an idea. Im also looking to spend around 500 euro.
Any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.
