What camera for underwater

Hi all

I'm a total newbie (this is my first post) and I really am a point and shoot type of photographer.

I'm going on holiday to Hawaii and I'll be scuba diving. I'd like to buy a digital camera that will take some really good photo's underwater.

Can anyone recommend a camera. I'm willing to spend up to £350 on the camera and another £150ish on the housing unit.

I was looking at the Canon G9 or the Sony Cybershot (12 or 13mp version).

Any help would be grateful
