nero 6 help please

i have nero 6 on my pc had it for about 4 years never had any problems with it until now it burn;s dvd: ok but when i burn cd;s it burns a bit at a time & takes ages upto 15 min do have it set to burn disk at once but still burn;s bit by bit ?. Have uninstalled it & reinstalled it but just the same dont understand this ? . The cd;s i;m useing are 32 speed nero say;s there burning at 32 but takes about 15 to 18 min to burn . Any advice would be great thanks ps my dvd writer is a pionear 110
