Cable forums are open again
After recent events with Modshack and the cable companies in the news just latly we have started to check all our satellite and cable forums to make sure that we fully comply with the law in every way that we can.
We do not condone people stealing or defrauding satellite and cable companies and if we find out that this is happening on here we will close them forums down for good. These forums were started up for educational purposes only and always will be just that.
We have never asked for any donation's or payments from any member on this site and we never will, it as always been a free forum and will always stay that way.
The Team that help and run world-of-digital.com give up there own time and do so for free.
And as we say in our RULES anyone found to be using our forums for illegal services and making money out of this site or the satellite and cable companies will be removed and details passed on to the above companies....Please help us to help you, so that we can keep cable alive and kicking.

questions about using a mac code
im ditching pipex as an isp and going with virgin media
ive already got my MAC code and an email from virgin media saying it will take 5 to 7 working days for my account to be switched, see below:
On the day your account is switched, you may lose your broadband
connection for between 15 and 30 minutes. This could happen at any point
during the morning, afternoon or evening (up to 8.30pm). When your Virgin
Broadband account is switched over (your current broadband service will no
longer work), simply replace your old broadband log in details with your
new Virgin Broadband log in details and connect. If you are unable to
connect, please wait for an hour and try again.
seems pretty simple to me but knowing my luck i'll encounter some sort of problem, or is it just a case of going into my router setup page and entering my new log in details or do i need to change anything else in there ie: the encapsulation MTU etc, at present my WAN connection type is PPPoA will all that stay the same ?
AND
once im cut off can i still get into my router set up page without an internet connection ??
ive attached a piccie of my present settings so do i just leave good and enter my new log in details ??
